Operation School Bell Outfits Thousands of Kids for Successful School Year

An estimated 8,500 Cincinnati school children will receive complete school uniforms this year through Operation School Bell. Since 1998, Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati has served 61,000 children through the program.
 
At Chase Elementary’s back-to-school event August 13 in Northside, volunteers met and measured 200 students to ensure they received the right-size uniform. Each student received a short and long-sleeved shirts, pants, socks, underwear, belt and a fleece jacket. Students also selected a book to take home.

Assistance League volunteers also provided uniforms to more than 100 students at Corinthian Baptist Church’s Day of Blessing August 7 in Bond Hill. The remainder of school uniforms will be distributed through school resource coordinators at 45 local schools.
